Cube House: President's Retreat
The purpose of the project is to apply previous relationship developed with three planes in a cube to a larger site, while satisfying specific client rituals.
One plane in the house is extended and aided by water element to act as divider of the site. The site is divided into a public sector and a private sector. In the private sector, the offset of space is created by different levels of hedge; in the public sector, the offset of space is created by adding water elements in the form of ponds to create threshold but maintain a sense of openness. The offset of space is such that it would establish clear sense of spatial definition and orchestrate the vista of visitors.
